Senior Public Speaking Instructor

Michael Gritzbach

Michael attended Harvard University, Columbia University, and MIT during undergrad and is now a Yenching Scholar at Peking University in Beijing after receiving offers from Tsinghua University, London Business School, ESADE, and the National University of Singapore. Both entrepreneurial and confident in public speaking, Michael wrote the public speaking curriculum for the Harvard Crimson Pre-Collegiate Innovation Conference and sat on the Executive Strategy Board of the Harvard Crimson, Harvard University’s leading newspaper. He has extensive experience training kids from Beijing and Chengdu in public speaking.

Course Goals

Students will challenge themselves through this course. They will:

  • Learn how to pitch personal brands in various settings to best establish credibility

  • Learn elements of storytelling to make personal brands convincing

  • Practice and master the 30 second introduction elevator speech

  • Gain a strong understanding of the fundamentals of Western Humor and how to apply them

  • Develop best practices for public speaking; receive mentorship and coaching from professional speakers
